DOMINIC RIDGEWAY – WALLEE NEEDS THERAPY
Funny little track this, out today on Diffrent Music, which has just been given the video treatment – all kaleidoscopic visuals and raving silhouettes. That’s kind of what the tune is too, a silhouette of rave’s past brought into the now, a hardcore tune with everything stripped away save for that main, pumping lead synth and minimal drums. I guess there’s a bit of footwork in their too, with nods to icy, sparse DnB and even a bit of Zomby with that not-quite-there percussion. Seemingly not much too it, this has still wormed its way into my nodes and I can’t stop listening.
