DORIAN CONCEPT – EMPTY EVERYTHING (BUT YOU)
Those expecting the warped funk and hip hop which Oliver Johnson displayed on 2009 album When Planets Explode might be a little taken aback by this sparse, understated synth exploration – recorded for Mamiko Moto’s new compilation album Amada. The pared back groove could have easily graced Mount Kimbie’s Crooks and Lovers album (not a complaint in any way,) the only drawback being it’s fleetingly short running time. But any time in the Austrian producer’s company is time well spent, even a brief two minutes. Wonderful.
Here he is playing with a toy plane.
